Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors and trades efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management & Supervision:
- Oversee all field operations and ensure work progresses according to schedule.
- Supervise subcontractors, trades, and laborers, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized job site.
Project Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure project specifications are met.
- Monitor daily job site progress and address any issues that arise.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, material usage, and job site conditions.
Scheduling & Budget Control:
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules.
- Coordinate material deliveries and equipment logistics.
- Identify potential delays and proactively address them to keep the project on track.
Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, permits, and company quality standards.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
- Address and resolve any on-site safety concerns or violations immediately.
Communication & Reporting:
- Serve as the main point of contact for site personnel, subcontractors, and inspectors.
- Report progress, challenges, and solutions to project managers and clients.
- Keep accurate daily logs and update reports as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: [X] years of construction site supervision experience (commercial, residential, industrial, etc.).
- Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
- Certifications: OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and other relevant certifications (a plus).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) is a plus.
