Vice President of Operations - Commercial Services
Position Summary:
The Vice President of Operations will lead regional operations and work directly with General Managers to drive performance, profitability, and operational consistency across the company. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong financial acumen, hands-on experience in multi-site management, and a proven track record of elevating fragmented service operations into streamlined, scalable businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and tactical leadership for day-to-day operations across multiple regions/business units.
Serve as a hands-on partner and coach to General Managers, helping improve team performance, accountability, and operational KPIs.
Analyze financial statements, job costing, and P&Ls to identify trends and implement strategies that drive profitability and growth.
Introduce scalable systems, SOPs, and reporting processes to upgrade operational discipline and eliminate inefficiencies.
Foster a performance-driven culture that blends blue-collar execution with white-collar professionalism.
Collaborate with executive leadership on growth strategies, M&A integration, and new market development.
Develop and monitor key operational and financial metrics for continuous improvement.
Lead hiring, training, and development of field and mid-level operations teams.
Qualifications:
5+ years of operational leadership experience in commercial services, field services, construction, or related industries.
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-unit or regional operations in a fast-growing or private equity-backed environment.
Strong financial acumen — must be comfortable with P&L ownership, budgeting, margin analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
Proven success professionalizing operations and upgrading infrastructure in previously unstructured environments.
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to influence from the field to the boardroom.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
