Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Behavioral Health Program Director to lead and oversee clinical and operational functions of our behavioral health programs. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and program growth. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, a deep understanding of mental health and substance use treatment, and a passion for improving the lives of individuals and families in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for all aspects of the behavioral health program, including clinical services, operations, and strategic planning

  • Supervise and support clinical and administrative staff, including therapists, case managers, and support personnel

  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF)

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices that support program effectiveness and client outcomes

  • Collaborate with external partners, referral sources, and stakeholders to strengthen community relationships and program visibility

  • Monitor program performance through data analysis, client outcomes, and quality assurance measures

  • Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective operations

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities for program growth and expansion

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (Doctorate preferred)

  • Licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of [Insert State]

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in behavioral health settings, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role

  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations, treatment modalities, and clinical best practices

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team leadership skills

  • Experience in budget management, strategic planning, and program development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with integrated care models or telehealth delivery

  • Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment and co-occurring disorders

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
