Position Overview: We are seeking a results-driven and proactive Business Development Manager to join our team and drive new business acquisition for our financial and leasing services. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for prospecting, developing relationships, and closing deals with companies in need of growth capital.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients in target industries and verticals, leveraging various channels such as networking, referrals, cold calling, and industry events to generate leads and opportunities.
  2. Business Development: Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target companies, understanding their business needs, challenges, and growth plans to position our financial and leasing services as solutions.
  3. Consultative Selling: Conduct needs assessments and financial analyses to understand client requirements and recommend tailored financing solutions that align with their objectives and financial goals.
  4. Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals, financial models, and presentations to articulate the value proposition of our financial and leasing services and address client needs and concerns.
  5. Deal Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations, overcome objections, and address client inquiries to successfully close deals and secure new business partnerships, ensuring terms and agreements are aligned with company objectives and profitability targets.
  6. Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing communication and engagement with clients throughout the sales process and beyond, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to drive client satisfaction, retention, and referral business.
  7. Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes impacting the financial services and leasing industry, providing insights and recommendations to inform business strategy and product development.
  8. Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including credit underwriting, legal, and operations, to facilitate seamless deal execution, ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, and deliver a positive client experience.
  9. Performance Tracking: Utilize CRM systems and sales tools to track and manage sales activities, pipeline development, and deal progress, providing regular updates, forecasts, and reports to management.
  10. Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry best practices, sales techniques, and product knowledge through ongoing training, professional development, and participation in industry forums and events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ of proven sales experience in financial services, leasing, or related industries, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services, including loans, lines of credit, equipment leasing, and working capital solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and business owners, with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a passion for driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to sales, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools, such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
