Position Overview:
As the Director of Operations - Facilities and Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's operational processes, managing facilities, and leading construction projects. This role requires a dynamic leader with a comprehensive understanding of operations, facilities management, and construction, coupled with the ability to drive efficiency and excellence in all facets of our business.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure seamless operational workflows.
Facilities Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and functionality of company facilities.
- Implement best practices for facility management and workplace optimization.
Construction Project Management:
- Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage budgets for operations, facilities, and construction projects.
- Implement cost-control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Implement and oversee safety protocols for facilities and construction sites.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
- Evaluate and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure quality standards are met.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, HR, and executive leadership.
- Ensure alignment of operational activities with overall business objectives.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational and project performance.
- Provide regular reports to executive leadership on operational and project status.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in operations leadership, facilities management, and construction project management.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and construction best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
