Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operating Partner to join our team and collaborate closely with executive leadership teams across our portfolio companies. The Operating Partner will play a strategic role in driving operational improvements, enhancing sales performance, strengthening brand positioning, and providing valuable guidance and support to executive leadership teams. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with multiple portfolio companies, serve on boards, and drive impactful change and growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Partner with executive leadership teams and boards of directors across portfolio companies to develop and execute strategic plans, drive operational improvements, and achieve business objectives.
  2. Operational Excellence: Conduct operational assessments, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices and initiatives to optimize business processes, streamline operations, and drive efficiency and profitability.
  3. Sales and Revenue Growth: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement sales strategies, expand market reach, and drive revenue growth through customer acquisition, retention, and expansion initiatives.
  4. Brand Enhancement: Work with marketing and branding teams to enhance brand positioning, strengthen brand awareness, and differentiate portfolio companies in their respective markets, driving increased customer engagement and loyalty.
  5. Board Representation: Serve as a board member or advisor for multiple portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance, governance oversight, and accountability to drive performance and value creation.
  6. Talent Development: Support talent acquisition, development, and retention efforts across portfolio companies, providing leadership coaching, mentoring, and succession planning to build high-performing teams.
  7. Financial Performance: Monitor financial performance metrics, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborate with finance teams to identify opportunities for cost optimization, margin improvement, and revenue enhancement.
  8. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and market risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards to protect and enhance shareholder value.
  9. Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between private equity firm leadership, portfolio company management teams, investors, and other stakeholders to align interests and drive consensus on strategic initiatives.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging best practices, leveraging insights and lessons learned to continuously improve processes, policies, and performance across the portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ of senior leadership experience in operational roles, preferably within private equity-backed companies or management consulting firms.
  • 5+ years of experience as a CEO
  • Proven track record of driving operational improvements, accelerating revenue growth, and enhancing shareholder value in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic mindset, with the ability to analyze complex business challenges, develop actionable solutions, and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Board experience or board readiness, with a solid understanding of corporate governance principles and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated, with a passion for driving change, delivering results, and creating value for investors and portfolio companies.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work collaboratively with diverse teams across multiple locations.
