The Director will partner closely with Human Resources, Operations, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and senior leadership to build scalable talent programs, improve workforce performance, and ensure the organization has the people, processes, and capabilities needed to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide talent operations strategies aligned with business growth and organizational objectives.
  • Oversee talent processes across the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, onboarding, performance management, career development, succession planning, and retention.
  • Develop scalable systems, processes, and operating standards that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR and talent operations across a multi-location environment.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and field leadership to develop workforce planning strategies, staffing models, and recruiting priorities based on business needs.
  • Establish and monitor talent KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to identify trends, measure performance, and drive data-informed workforce decisions.
  • Analyze employee turnover, engagement, retention, staffing levels, internal mobility, and other workforce metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead initiatives designed to improve employee retention, manager effectiveness, employee engagement, and overall organizational performance.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to identify capability gaps and develop programs that strengthen leadership pipelines and operational talent.
  • Develop and maintain talent policies, procedures, and best practices that ensure consistency across corporate and field operations.
  • Collaborate with Operations leadership to understand workforce challenges and implement practical, scalable talent solutions across clubs and markets.
  • Support organizational design, succession planning, and internal talent development initiatives to build a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Lead cross-functional talent projects, including HR technology implementations, process improvements, workforce analytics, and organizational initiatives.
  • Ensure talent programs and processes are consistently executed while maintaining compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on workforce trends, organizational effectiveness, and talent-related business opportunities.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor members of the talent/HR operations team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in talent operations, HR operations, talent management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting a large, multi-unit, geographically dispersed workforce; fitness, hospitality, retail, restaurant, healthcare, or franchise environments strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling talent processes across a rapidly growing organization.
  • Strong understanding of workforce analytics, talent management, performance management, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Experience working with HRIS, ATS, talent management, and workforce analytics platforms.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate workforce data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to influence senior executives and collaborate effectively with field and corporate leadership.
  • Strong project management and change management skills.
  • Highly organized, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Leadership Profile

The ideal candidate is a strategic HR operator who can also execute. They should be comfortable moving between enterprise-level talent strategy and the day-to-day realities of supporting a large field organization. The successful leader will bring a data-driven approach, strong business acumen, and a track record of building scalable people infrastructure in a growth-oriented, multi-location environment.
